A Desk Reset for One Small Surface
You do not need a new productivity system to make a desk feel easier. Start with the one surface where the same interruption keeps happening.
Pick the surface, not the whole room
Choose the desk corner, shelf, or drawer that creates the most repeated pause. A reset is more useful when it has a boundary: one reading spot, one charging area, or one place for the tools you reach for every day.
Keep the fix close to the action
The KOKUYO Campus Portable Book Clip belongs beside the book or notebook it helps hold open. The MUJI Cable Case with Stand belongs where one short charging cable actually gets used. Their value is partly placement; a useful object in another room is still friction.
Do not solve a different problem
A pen-style scissor or small rack can be helpful when you can name the interruption it shortens. It does not mean the whole desk needs a matching organizer set. Measure the surface and stop when the named problem is smaller.
Our short answer
Clear one surface, return the tools that already work, then add at most one focused helper. The reset succeeds when tomorrow’s first interruption is easier to handle.
